Sunshine Coast Parks and Playgrounds
Eumundi - playground located in the main street, shaded by trees, bbqs, shelter and toilets. Lawned area adjacent
Kenilworth - located in the main street, lots of play equipment including a flying fox, a helicopter, slides, swings and more. Opposite the Kenilworth cheese factory that offers tastings and sales. Cafes, shops, galleries nearby. Bbq's and shade available.
Maroochydore - Cotton tree - playgrounds and lawned areas plus an aquatic centre along the river inlet.
Mooloolaba - on the esplanade. Bbq's, seating, shade, patrolled beach and a playground. Surf club, cafes and restaurants nearby. Km's of walking paths, if you are walking on the paths near the caravan park, get the kids to look out for water dragons (lizards), there are heaps of them. This place gets really packed on the weekends, you may want to consider bringing your own chairs just in case.
Nambour- Koala Park - (across from RSL, behind Woolworths) Great play equipment for all ages, grassed lawns but does have unfenced creek, parking
Noosaville Gympie tce - on the shores of the noosa river. bbqs, shelter, lge playground, toilets. Next door to Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club. Room to kick balls, run etc. Sandy beach, but not fenced. Bike and walking paths.
Noosa Heads National Park - boardwalk from Noosa Surf Club into National Park is stroller friendly. Inside the National park you can spot koalas if you are lucky. Rangers run school holiday night walks. Some of the walks in the park are stoller friendly, check at the rangers station. |
