Egypt Family tour - Ancient Egypt has always captured the imagination of children. Pyramids, secret passages, mummies, tombs, treasure and camel rides appeal to kids’ sense of the macabre, mysterious, fun and excitement. As many of these also appeal to adults, Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre chose to include the most appealing aspects of Egypt into a single program designed to appeal to the whole family.
The Egyptian Family Adventure has sought to combine elements of our many programs which appeal to all ages. Even the mode of transport changes including car, train and Nile Cruise. There is no chance for the kids to get bored.
The 11 Day Egypt Family Adventure tour starts in Cairo with visits to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx including a camel ride and a visit to the Egyptian museum. An optional extra is the sound and light show at the pyramids.
The tour then includes a sleeper train trip from Cairo to Luxor including a horse and carriage ride through the streets of Luxor and visits to the fabulous tombs and Temples of Luxor. From Luxor experience a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. The tour also include a felucca ride around Kitcheners Island in Aswan famous for its exotic bird and plant life and a visit to a Nubian village where the people retain their ancient costumes, customs and architecture. From Aswan travel on the sleeper train for the return trip to Cairo. The final afternoon in Cairo is at leisure giving the family the opportunity to explore the markets and favourite sights of Cairo.
