The man made lagoon stretches along the foreshore and the lawns offer bbqs, shade structures, and playgrounds. A pathway goes for km's along the coast for walking or jogging. Cardwell - At the southern end of town on the beach. The Colleen Laughlin Memorial Park offers shade, picnic tables, toilets, showers, homemade pies and drinks available at the pie van (the curry and potato pie was great). Thanks to J.P. AYR
