Fiji is made up of a group of over 300 tranquil islands. Of these, only a 100 or so are inhabited by humans with the rest left as nature reserves. Almost 80 percent of the population live on the two major islands in the group, which are known as Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

With its tropical climate, clear blue waters and fabulous sunsets, Fiji is an ideal holiday destination for families seeking outdoor adventure and for those looking for rest and relaxation. Fiji's cooler months are between May and September with temperatures ranging between 25-26 degrees celcius. The warmer months are between December and April, where temperatures average 30 degrees celcius.

There are many things to see and do in Fiji. Many people head out to the very popular Yasawa group of Islands.  Where you can relax in a beach bure, snorkel, dive or sleep in a hamock.  The kids will love the friendly Fijian people, they are forever smiling and happy. 

Most of the larger Fijian resorts offer kids clubs or a kids activity programme.  Babysitting is generally cheap, there is plenty of food choices on offer with fresh fruits being popular.  The currency is the Fijian dollar.  English is widely spoken and ATM's are widely available.
