South West of Perth Parks and Playgrounds

Donnybrook Apple Park - Located 2.5 hours south of Perth and 30 mins inland from Bunbury.  This free entry playground could be the best playground in Australia.  The Apple fun park opened in Donnybrook WA in April 2008.  The park cost about $2m to build and caters from toddlers to adults. 

The main structure has panels with fruit designs to ensure it compliments the agricultural/orchard theme of the district. It has towers that rise 9.5 mtrs above the ground and a range of play equipment suitable for all ages – from toddlers right up to climbing walls for teenagers. It even have an adult exercise section to encourage parents to be active!.

The Park has lighting towers and security cameras, to ensure that it can be accessed 24/7 by the general public.

The Park include six electric BBQs, tables and seating; making this a great family picnic area. The Park is fenced with self closing gates, so that parents can sit back and relax whilst the children play.

The Park is not manned – but is monitored by 16 security cameras.  The play structures were erected in  February 2008. Visit their website
