Invercargill
Queens Park is a must visit - great interactive play ground, calming and relaxing gardens to stroll thru and even a number of animals to visit - rabbits, lama, and deer to name a few. The Invergargil museum is in teh gardens and well worth a visit. We make a regular trip to visit Henry the 130 year old Tuatara who lives in the museum with a number of his friends and family. Spring is the best time to visit when they are waking up from their winter nap and are hungry and actively looking for food. Winter and even spring can be cold so dress up extra warm. It is not uncommon for it to be snowing even in September.
