Echo Point Park Situated on the shores of Middle Harbour, Roseville this is one of the city's best kept secrets. At low tide, a secluded beach appears at the foreshore of the Park, allowing the opportunity to have a paddle in the middle of Sydney's north shore. Or perhaps you would prefer to walk along the heritage significant path or just relax and have a picnic under the shade of the trees. Roseville Marina is adjacent to the Park.
Bicentennial Park For a great day out visit the playground in Ku-ring-gai Bicentennial Park, West Pymble. This playground was totally rebuilt, with grant funding assistance from the Metropolitan Greenspace Program run by the NSW Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources. Completed in 2003, the playground won an Inaugural ‘Kidsafe' National Playground Design Award in 2004. One of the most popular play areas in Ku-ring-gai, the playground is adjacent to a large grassy area, a picnic area with BBQs and toilets, the swimming pool complex and in close proximity to two full size playing fields and a fully fenced dog off- leash area. Further improvements are planned to renovate the picnic area, commencing in February 2005.
St Ives Showground, off Mona Vale Road Stop in and relax at one of the few showground sites remaining. BBQs and picnic areas with plenty of shade and lots of car parking. With a variety of activities taking place each weekend there's plenty to look at.
