Castaway Island Fiji by Georgie

When you first step off the boat and onto the beach you are surrounded by the always happy and smiling staff at Castaway Island.  You touch on the white sand beach surrounded by tropical aqua waters and lush rainforest.  You are taken to the lounge area for a cool drink whilst the front office staff process your reservation.  The lounge, dining, bar area is all in one area which is a traditional Fijian thatched building with a beautiful roof covered in Fijian print.  This is where all meals are served.  And the food is divine!  The chef takes a very ‘hands on’ approach to using the best of traditional and local produce to create amazing meals.

Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Island Resort by Kate

JMC fijiIt IS possible to have absolute luxury, fine dining, candlelit dinners every night when holidaying with kids.  I always thought you had to give up (even if only something very minor) but Jean-Michel Cousteau, Fiji is all of this and a whole lot more!  Clients I’ve sent there always come back raving about the resort, but seeing, doing, experiencing the tropical treat that is Jean Michel Cousteau, Fiji delivers quality timeout for mums and dads and high energy kids club delights single-handedly.  Jean-Michel Cousteau, Fiji is a 5 star resort located in Savsavu, an hours flight (on a small plane) from Nadi.  Built on a former coconut plantation, the resort ticks all the boxes: eco-friendly, child-friendly, parent-friendly. In fact, my only disappointment was that we could only change our flights to  extend our stay one (rather than two) extra nights, it was that good!

Taking the kids to Vegas - is it all just gambling? by Leah

Bellagio water show las vegasShould I take my kids to Las Vegas is a common question we hear, well my answer is a definite yes!  We just returned from a family holiday to America and Vegas was one of my favourite destinations.  There is something for everyone in larger than life Las Vegas.  There are plenty of family shows, activities, sights to see and as a bonus many are free or cheap.  The whole strip is just amazing with its themed hotels and bright lights, plus the Grand Canyon an easy day trip away... a must do destination in America.

Disneyland Paris Resort By Carolyn
Paris DisneylandDisneyland in the USA has always been a popular holiday destination for Australian families with both kids and adults alike happy to spend a day or two in their own ‘Fantasyland’ but since 1992 the Disneyland name has also become synonymous with Paris.  Originally called Euro Disney, the Disney Corporation built one of the finest parks of its kind, taking its lead from the original Disneyland in California.

Should I holiday with kids in Penang?
bayview beach resort penangAbsolutely! Penang is part of Malaysia and is located just off the West Coast of Mainland Malaysia it consists of Penang Island and a thin strip of mainland Malaysia.  There is a massive bridge that connects the mainland with the Island but most people arrive by flying into Penang Airport. This little piece of paradise has gorgeous beaches, quality resorts and some of the best food you'll find anywhere in the world.

Cambodia with kids - temples, tuk tuks and tantalising food

tuk tuk in cambodiaWe arrived into Phnom Penh airport early in the morning and were welcomed by bright sunshine and a line of smiling tuk tuk drivers. I was pleased to see the tuk tuk's here are much larger than elsewhere in Asia and fit the 4 of us and our luggage.  We advise the driver of our accommodation and off we go ducking and weaving through the bustling streets of the city.

Skiing NZ with kids review by Leah
ski new zealand north islandWe decided to teach the kids to ski and what better place than in the middle of the North Island New Zealand on the very impressive Mount Ruapehu, a live volcano that's high enough and (generally) inactive enough to receive a fair dusting of snow each winter, the mountain is the centrepiece of the Ruapehu National Park.

Cruising the Yangtze River In China with kids by Leah
Our guide on the Yangtze river cruiseWe head to Chongqinq by bus to join our Yangtze River Cruise.  They seemed to be on some kind of world record attempt to cram the most amount of people and bags onto one bus. I was given the seat behind the driver and he seemed to spit out the window every couple of seconds. I began to wonder just how much spit one's body can produce??
